The following are the major release additions and improvements in RealBRIDGE 3.0:

Automated Screen Process Manager

The RealBRIDGE Process Manager allows the user to set up a series of related screens that can then be run automatically. This feature provides for automation of model workflow. Any RealBRIDGE screen can be placed into a Process and Processes can be run at any time. Processes can also be run from Task Scheduling software. (see Schedule Batch Execution below)

Scheduled Batch Execution

RealBRIDGE and SyncUP for RealBRIDGE can now accept command line parameters at execution. This will allow these programs to be set up in Task Scheduler software for batch processing. RealBRIDGE can be setup to run either a single Process or a Backup for a specific model and version. SyncUp can be setup to run all sources assigned to a SyncSource group code. A new field has been added to SyncSources to allow specific sources to be tagged with a user-defined group code.

Advanced Web Download Compression

RB-WEB,which allows any RealBRIDGE model to be deployed over the Internet at the touch of a button, has been enhanced to support advanced template compression routines. Preliminary timing estimates have shown an increase in the speed of the workbook download of over 40%.

Template Range Manager

The Template Report Manager has been replaced with an upgraded Range Manager.   The Range Manager allows the analyst to set up various types of template ranges (PRINT, GOTO, HIDE/SHOW) that the user can select from when viewing any screen that is linked to the template. The “Reports” Tab on Template Maintenance has been renamed “Ranges” and has been cleaned up to support the new range types and to display required range setup information in a more organized layout.

Enhanced Mapping Features

RealBRIDGE 3.0 has many new features aimed at improving the speed, functionality and ease-of-use on the mapping screen. These enhancements include consolidation maps support selection of various consolidation functions, (e.g. max, min, average, count), Template Mode mapping has been enhanced to include MapItem AutoFill, LinkFiles MI#’s and SubTotal Redirect locations display as “SR#”, single row multi-imbedded maps copy the row formats to the total line if the multi-imbed flag is checked, improved save routines decrease time required for map compilation, provide improved error checking and messages on compilation warnings and map name changes resets the map name displayed in the window title

New Administration Reports

We have added several new reports to help with the administration of models. 1) Automated Screen Documentation: Two new reports (list and form style) print the schema organization (template, ranges and maps ) related to screens and are run from the Main Menu and the Screens:Edit menu. 2) Template Result Overrides: This report displays all fields that have result overrides on the active screen for a selected entity. From this report, the user can print the list of overrides and clear any selected overrides.   3)Data Audit List: This Report shows which user changed what data and when they changed it. This report is run from the Version screen for a selected set of entities.

Other Enhancements

In addition to the changes above, the following other changes have been included in Version 3.0

Dictionary

• Copy Special has been updated to run more “wizard-like” and to allow the user to filter the source field list during the field selection process.
• Users selectively delete data for a selected field within a selected version.
• Added a message to the Field Delete process to display status.
• Enhanced the field search and filter feature to include all dictionary fields.

Interface

• The ENTER key no longer inserts a row when pressed on the last row of a list. The down arrow still inserts a row.
• The “replace” function scans the target field and finds ALL instances of the REPLACE value.
• The Analyst Tabs have been removed from the Main Menu. The Analyst Administration and Tools functions are now located in the RealBRIDGE Application Menu.
• All Analyst Administration screens now display the corresponding RealBRIDGE component ID.
• Data changes are evaluated when the user switches rows OR tabs. If changes have been made, the user is prompted to Save or Undo before the new tab or row is displayed.

Map

• Enhanced error checking verifies that the mapped locations match related template sheets.
• DoubleClicking on status icons on Map Detail screen provide links to related information; Filter Icon displays the map filter, Imbed Icon displays the parent map(s), Template Icon displays the assigned template (similar to quick template).
• Edit Template option has been added to the RightClick Options menu when editing in template mode.

Reporting

• Date OFFSETS have been added to the Dictionary View Usage Report and the report has been reformatted to group field usage by type (maps, imbedded maps, offsets, syncsources, filters, sorts).

Screen

• Enhanced validation features are executed on SAVE which verify that the selected map and target “fit” and will not produce a run-time error on screen data load.
• Enhanced Multi-Entity Imbed functionality to allow the user to insert a child row in the imbed section if no child entities are found.
• Added "Cancel" option to all screen loads.

Security

• Added mass update features to the security screen, including User edit and User Copy, where the setup from one user can be copied to one or many other users.

SyncUp

• Now supports Select/Deselect of all sources for a given level or group.
• Now supports canceling a job during execution. Enhanced graphics on user interface

SyncSource

• Enhancements to interface for Source setup and improved test processing speed.
• Renamed SourceController to SyncSource

Template

• Improved validation on save ensures specified range sheets exist in the current layout.
• Now supports template hidden rows, columns and sheets.

Version

• Clear data values for the selected entities.
• Allows the user to select which fields to clear.
• Selection of active Version has been moved to under the VIEW option of the RealBRIDGE menu.
• The Version Button has been removed from the RealBRIDGE Main Menu.

Web

• Web Manager default parameters are now stored in the registry.
